Traffic Solutions promotes and encourages alternatives to driving alone, with the goals of reducing traffic congestion, air pollution and vehicle miles driven as well as improving the quality of life for employees, visitors, and residents of Santa Barbara County.

Our Objectives

·     To provide a countywide transportation demand management (TDM) program, regional commuter bus service and ridesharing information. 

·     To develop programs benefiting the public and to provide information about transportation choices through education, outreach and public participation.

·      To promote cooperative relationships with local businesses, government agencies, and community groups and individuals to expand participation in commuter programs. 

Traffic Solutions is a division of the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments

Kent joined Traffic Solutions in 2002.  He brings over 15 years of alternative modes planning experience to the Traffic Solutions team. Kent moved from Denver, Colorado in 2002.  In Denver he served as a transit planner and bicycle coordinator for the Regional Transportation District (RTD).  Prior to working for RTD, Kent served as a land use planner for the City of Arvada (a Denver suburb).  Kent has also played an important role in several transportation related non-profit advocacy organizations.  Kent holds a Master Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver, and a B.A. in Urban Studies from Metropolitan State College.

Kent does his part to reduce air pollution and traffic congestion by commuting to work by bicycle, carpooling with coworkers, or telecommuting.

Scott has now moved on to SBCAG's Programming and Project Delivery team as a Transportation Planner. We'll miss you Scott (even though you're still only a cubicle wall away)! For the time being, Scott is still managing the Clean Air Express Commuter Bus Service, coordinating the Coastal Express bus program, and managing the SBCAG website.

Even though he is no longer with Traffic Solutions, Scott is still a green commuter, carpooling to work daily.

Lori joined Traffic Solutions in early 2008. She is an alumna of the UCSB Environmental Studies program and worked in Development and Donor Relations and Stewardship at UCSB before joining the Traffic Solutions team. Lori oversees employer outreach and customer service, maintains the Traffic Solutions website and TS Online, produces the TS newsletter, and helps coordinate various TS programs.

Lori has made friends and saved money by carpooling to work and taking the bus.
